I just updated everything, then upgraded to J5.0.3. Everything functioned perfectly. No extensions shown as having any issues.
Then I attempted (no less than 3 times) to update my Php to 8.2 and that failed.
I even read a post that says to disable PSR and in my hosting server they've already got that disabled by default. I still get the 500 error both in the front end and the back end.
If there were a problem with an extension I think I'd have seen the problem only on the front end. But both front and back show the 500 error using Php 8.2 - so I'm just leaving it at 8.1 until I can figure out what's wrong.
I'll also try an upgrade to 5 in one of my staging sites to see if there is any difference in a site that has nothing but default everything.
I don't like the chances of that working, so, Pe7er, if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears.
==========
And just 5 minutes later, he says....
Here's something I did not expect.
The hosting company "failed" to include "MySQLI" in the settings!
I enabled that and everything is "hunky dory"....
Thank you for the help, Pe7er....
